What we do

Base Services

  • Walk-through of your house to ensure all systems are in working order.
  • Check for signs of unwanted surprises (burst pipes, mold/moisture buildup, rodent activity, etc.) and communicate necessary next steps to remedy the issue.
  • Flush water through your taps and toilets, eliminating any standing and stagnant water.
  • Clear mailbox by eliminating flyers and compiling your mail inside your home. If required, we will also send you pictures of your mail and take further steps to process or forward it as requested.
  • Start and run your vehicle to ensure health of battery.
  • Water and care for your plants.
  • Document each walk-through to fulfill home insurance purposes.

Additional Services

  • Provide whole-home cleaning services in preparation for your return (or as frequent as you wish).
  • Stock your fridge and pantry with your grocery list of supplies.
  • Post-storm exterior/interior damage check, communicating and arranging necessary actions to be taken.
  • Tackle any administrative tasks that arise during your absence.
  • Now offering limited pet care, including cats & chickens
  • Now offering tenant management services for when Military/Diplomat families are posted abroad
  • Arrange for full renovations or handyman services through our partner company, Tibidabo Home Improvements.

Our Story

Dylan & Terri Gray are two people from opposite sides of the world who had nothing to do with construction when they met.  Another lifetime ago, they each worked in technical and television roles culminating in their coverage of the motorcycle world championship, MotoGP.  Dylan, a British/German living in Spain met Terri, a Manitoban living in Miami, FL at a race in Austin, TX.

Soon after the wedding bells in 2018, Dylan and Terri moved to Ottawa so Terri could pursue a shift into food television by attending Le Cordon Bleu and graduating as a Pastry Chef.  But instead, a Pandemic Pivot was in the cards as Ontario’s construction industry held strong during the Covid years and these two dove straight into it.

Armed with a Master’s Degree in mechanical engineering, industry experience, a personal whole-home renovation, grit and determination, Dylan and Terri constructed a little business of their own.  Tibidabo Home Improvements was established in 2021 with Tibidabo Home & Away soon to follow. It was a time of fantastical change as Daisy Gray was also born that year, perfectly completing the Tibidabo family.
